Following adopting of a 1+ year old mixed breed female dog from a local shelter I have retained Kaajal's services to evaluate the behavior, advise on a plan and guide me. Kaajal's help has been very valuable and outstanding. I highly recommend Kaajal as a future trainer for your dogs.Posted on Grace TTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kaajal, “KT” is amazing and really knows her stuff! My French Bulldog has struggled with anxiety and trauma after being attacked by other dogs, and KT has been such a huge help. When I had to go out of town for work, KT immediately made space to board her for a week and took incredible care of her. By the end of the stay, she was even playing with other dogs — which is truly remarkable given how fearful she’s been since her incident. I’m so grateful for KT’s patience, expertise, and compassion, and I’m looking forward to continuing training with her to keep building my dog’s confidence and quality of life.Posted on Ana Clara Muñoz AmezcuaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My pup Neblina recently boarded with Kaajal, and it was such a wonderful experience. Kaajal is super attentive and respectful of specific needs for each pup she takes care of, made sure Neblina was a good fit for her program before moving forward, is extremely knowledgeable about behavior and special behavior needs (positive reinforcement, force free, qualified trainer 😍). Not only was I able to enjoy my vacation without having to worry about Neblina (which everyone knows is not normal for me!) but Neblina came back with more skills, and her demand barking was practically gone, which is not an easy feat. As a veterinarian, it brings me so much peace of mind to know I have a place to leave Neblina when I am traveling. I couldn’t recommend Kaajal enough.Posted on Divya NagTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I'll keep this real - my dog was one of those dogs that made walks feel like an extreme sport. Reactive doesn't even cover it. After working with Kaajal at D for Dogz for the past couple years, I actually enjoy walking him now. Wild concept, I know. What I really like about Kaajal's approach is that she doesn't just slap a band-aid on problem behaviors. She digs into the why behind what your dog is doing, which honestly makes way more sense than just yelling "no" all the time. Her positive reinforcement methods work, and she's really good at teaching you (the human) how to not accidentally mess things up. The boarding situation has been a game-changer too. My dog gets genuinely excited when he sees her car pull up - pretty sure he thinks he's going to summer camp. Her home setup is thoughtfully designed with different spaces for different dog personalities, and she actually reinforces the training work we've been doing instead of letting him go feral for a week. Kaajal's been doing this for 12+ years and it shows. She's got this calm confidence with dogs and can read their body language like she's fluent in dog. Plus she's just a genuinely nice person who clearly loves what she does. If your dog has issues or you just want someone trustworthy for boarding, she's worth the call. My walks went from stressful to actually pleasant, which honestly felt impossible two years ago.Posted on Diane HildebrandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot say enough good things about Kaajal and the incredible impact she's had on me and my dog Pepper. Pepper is a leash-reactive dog-lunging, barking, and getting overwhelmed whenever we passed other dogs or distractions. From the first session, Kaajal approached Pepper with patience, empathy, and deep expertise. She took the time to understand Pepper's triggers and behavior patterns. Kaajal gave me the tools to read Pepper's body language, redirect her attention, and manage situations before they escalated. Thanks to Kaajal's guidance, Pepper is now much more focused, less reactive and actually enjoys our walks. We still have progress to make but I know with Kaajal's support, skill, and commitment Pepper will continue to thrive. If you are struggling with a leash-reactive dog, don't wait--Kaajal is the trainer you need. What sets her apart is her compassion and kindness for both you and your dog. She is truly passionate about helping dogs and their people live better lives together.Posted on Rohit SabnisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We just wrapped up the first level of Kaajal's leash reactive dog course and it has been a fantastic learning opportunity for us to better understand how to train our pup, Mango, the right way using positive reinforcement. Mango gets anxious, fearful, and lunges when he sees another dog and this course provides us the tools to navigate these situations and Kaajal personally helps us troubleshoot any pain points and provides alternate solutions that might work better with Mango. It's going to take time and work, but we're already seeing improvements in Mango's reactions after the first set of classes. We'll be taking the next level course to continue helping our pup overcome his fear. Highly recommend D for Dogz to anyone struggling with their dog's overreactions!Posted on Supriya VijayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We can't say enough good things about Kaajal! From our very first session, we were reassured by her kindness and patience. Kaajal doesn't just train your dog; she teaches you how to be a better dog parent and communicator. Each session included exercised we could practice in 2 minute bursts during the day, which made it very doable. She even helped us tweak our daily routine so it was less stressful for us and our dog. The results have been truly remarkable. Our dog used fixate and sometimes lunge at other dogs, making walks and going to public places stressful and challenging. Now, thanks to Kaajal's guidance, our pup is able to disengage from other dogs with our exercises. We highly recommend Kaajal to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate, and effective dog trainer. I don't trust many people with my dog, but Kaajal is one of the very few I do.Posted on Leo PaskinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Working with Kaajal "KT" from D for Dogz was the best decision and investment we could've made as dog owners. KT started working with our dog when he was about 4 months old, and we were surprised at how quickly she could help. Cooper is a Frenchie, so we knew he wouldn't be learning tricks or anything like that, but we wanted to work with him on general good behavior and recall. Based on our needs, we decided to start with the Day School option so that Cooper could get his training and socialize with other dogs. The program was highly successful at training him, but also us as well. :) Once the program wrapped, we continued working with KT with Private Training to hone in and further reinforce our training. Regardless of the program, KT was a master at her craft. During all of our interactions, KT was cordial, informative, and always very professional. I cannot recommend D for Dogz enough to help with your pup’s needs.Posted on Debra McLaughlinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kaajal is a highly skilled and professional dog trainer. We consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to work with D for Dogz. As first-time dog owners of a Miniature Schnauzer who we brought into our life towards the end of the pandemic, we found Kaajal through the many positive reviews we read about D for Dogz online. Our dog attended ‘Day School’ during which time he learned many skills including how to be a good playmate, recall, self-control, loose leash walking and more. Kaajal taught my husband and I every step of the way with an incredible amount of patience and grace. As first-time dog owners, we had a lot to learn and are still learning under Kaajal’s guidance. From canine health to managing our own expectations and behaviors with our dog, Kaajal is a continual learner and is always studying and pursuing new certifications and she shares her knowledge with her clients. We are also clients of D for Dogz boarding services. Kaajal takes amazingly good care of the dogs in her care, and we have peace of mind that our dog is safe, well-cared for and loved when he is boarding with her. We have also done private training sessions and group classes with D for Dogz all of which have been extremely valuable. Kaajal is one of the hardest working, sincerest and caring people I know. She always goes above and beyond for her clients, and she is there when you need her. I highly recommend D for Dogz.Posted on Sean FengTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I could not say more good things about Kaajal and D for Dogz. I had been struggling to find a place that I trusted for boarding for my two dogs because we’ve run into so many bad apples but the search is over! Kaajal came as a recommendation from a force free trainer we work. We wanted a place that boarded at home, used force free training, and would keep our pups happy and healthy, but D for Dogz was so much more! Kaajal is extra cautious and her main priority is to keep your dog and all other dogs safe, happy, minimally stressed, and enriched. From our first encounter, she was very detailed and asked a ton of questions. She also asked for a stool test and vaccine records. We did a meet and greet where she assessed both of my dogs and observed them and their behaviors for an hour. I was also able to see the space the dogs would spend time in and it is loaded with a ton of gates everywhere so she’s able to have separate play groups where their play styles are matched, or just a separate area for dogs that prefer to keep to themselves. She also told me about her passion for dog training, how long she had been doing this for (I think it was 12 years?), and how it all started with her pup Diesel <3. Just from talking to Kaajal, it was clear that her heart is in the right place, she loves all dogs, and is very knowledgeable about dog body language. We had planned to do a trial boarding a week or two before we were set to leave for our trip, but both of them got conjunctivitis! We told her and Kaajal was very firm that she cannot board dogs with conjunctivitis because it’s extremely contagious but was very flexible and accommodating in helping us reschedule, and even offering day care instead of trial boarding if it made things less stressful for the pups. Luckily, their conjunctivitis cleared a few days before we were set to leave so we ended up doing a trial boarding the day before so that we were in town and able to answer any questions she had while they were in her care before we lost reception. I appreciated this trial day greatly because it let me leave for vacation without worrying about my dogs and whether they were being taken care of, because we received lots of updates and photos, and I knew they were in great hands! She was also accommodating about feeding raw, all of their supplements, charging their Fi collars for us, and making sure they got pumpkin and chicken and rice at any sign of a bad poop. When I picked the pups up, they were of course happy to see me, but it was clear they were happy to be around Kaajal. She sent us home with a bunch of information - a verbal report card - and things we can do at home to reduce our pup’s stress levels next time for boarding and an overall evaluation of how they did. I am very happy to have boarded with Kaajal, and will definitely be boarding with her again in the future.
