Leash Reactive Dog Private Training (all ages)

Leash Reactive Dog Private Training – Helping Your Dog Stay Calm on Walks

Does your dog bark, lunge, or overreact to other dogs, people, or moving objects on walks? Leash reactivity can make outings stressful, but with the right approach, your dog can learn to stay calm and focused. Our Leash Reactive Dog Private Training program is designed to change how your dog feels about their triggers—helping them develop new, positive associations for more peaceful walks.

Why Leash Reactivity Happens

Leash reactivity isn’t just bad behavior—it’s an emotional response. Whether it’s frustration, fear, or excitement, your dog reacts because they don’t know how to handle the situation differently. Instead of using outdated techniques to suppress reactions, we focus on changing your dog’s underlying emotions so they can stay relaxed and engaged with you.

How We Help Your Dog

✔️ We train your dog for you – or – We teach you how to train your dog
✔️ Sessions take place at home, in your neighborhood, or in real-life walking environments
✔️ Every program includes an initial consultation and goal setting

“I took several classes with D For Dog and loved all of them. I really enjoyed that many of the classes were held in different locations around town so your pup gets to practice the skills in the real world.”

“The one thing that sets Kaajal apart from other trainers is that she uses Positive reinforcement methods and is remarkably good at training humans in how they connect with their puppy as that sets the right foundation.”
