Puppies don’t build lasting habits from practicing a skill once. They learn through repetition and consistency, several days a week, which is hard to fit around a working household. That’s what these programs are for.
Your puppy learns in KT’s home rather than a kennel, and practices out in the world too, on walks, in the car, and around new people and places. Skills built in real settings hold up when your puppy comes home. Your puppy works directly with KT from start to finish. No assistants, no rotating trainers.
If your puppy is over 16 weeks, our Adult Board & Train program is the better fit.
Choose the Format That Fits Your Life
Both programs include the same training, coaching, and follow-up support. The difference is the schedule.
Puppy Board & Train
Your puppy stays with KT four days a week, Monday to Thursday, for five weeks. A good fit for families who want the most professional training per week, and who are comfortable with their puppy staying overnight.
Puppy Day School
Drop off at 8:30am, pick up at 2:00pm, Monday to Thursday, for seven weeks. Your puppy trains alongside carefully matched schoolmates and comes home every evening. A good fit for families who want daily training but would rather have their puppy home at night.
What’s Included in Both Formats
- Direct access to KT throughout the program, Monday to Friday
- One 45-minute coaching and troubleshooting session each week
- Two 45-minute private in-home training sessions
- Two Zoom follow-up sessions
- Personalized weekly practice plans, shared through Google Docs
- Three months of email and phone support after the program ends
- One complimentary month of membership after you finish
What Your Puppy Will Learn
- Socialization and Confidence. Meeting new people, dogs, sights, and sounds through positive, structured experiences, so your puppy learns to take new things in stride rather than fear them.
- Biting and Chewing. Learning appropriate play, so biting, chewing, and stealing don’t become lifelong habits.
- Potty Training. Consistent routines and reliable house-training.
- Alone Time. Learning to settle in a crate or pen and be comfortable on their own, so being left doesn’t become a source of panic.
- Calm Settling. Relaxing quietly while you cook, work, or have downtime at home.
- Food and Toy Manners. Learning that people approaching their bowl or toys is a good thing, which prevents guarding from developing later.
- Rest. Puppies who don’t get enough sleep bite harder and listen less. We build a rhythm of activity and rest that carries into your routine at home.
- Handling and Grooming. Staying comfortable during brushing, nail trims, grooming, and vet visits.
- Everyday Skills (Foundation). Coming when called, leave it, drop it, and loose leash walking, at home, in the backyard, and on neighborhood walks.
What It Costs
$6,000 for either format.
Board & Train: Four days a week for five weeks
Day School: Four days a week for seven weeks
That covers everything listed above: the daily training, the weekly coaching sessions, the two private in-home sessions, the Zoom follow-ups, your weekly practice plans, three months of support after the program ends, and a complimentary month of membership.
For puppies 8 to 16 weeks. Covers early socialization, confidence, and foundation life skills. Does not cover leash reactivity or public manners. Some puppies need additional weeks to reach their goals. Tell us about your puppy and KT will be in touch with start dates and next steps.
