About Town Public Manners Impulse Control Group Class (Graduates of Basic Manners)

This class is all about teaching your dog self-control about town.

We take your dog’s manners on the road to practice listening to you — no matter where you are, walking without pulling, not getting into food crumbs or garbage, coming when called, saying hello to people politely, meeting other dogs nicely  and focused manners all about town.

We’ll meet in a new location each week—shopping districts, cafes, pet supply stores, parks, etc. Enjoy socializing with fellow students while working with your dog in the real world, supported by your training instructor-cum-tour director.

Being Calm & Minding his/her own business.

Listening to You: Paying attention — at a park, shopping complex, coffee shop or just relaxing walks in the neighborhood; coming when called in the presence of other dogs, not picking food crumbs or garbage, and dropping items on cue.

Self Control: Not jumping on strangers on walks; polite greeting; “leave-it” & “drop-it” when out and about.

Public Manners: Walking nicely on leash, settling down calmly while you have coffee or have dinner at a restaurant.

$420 for SIX 60-minute classes

Canine Good Citizen (Graduates of About Town Class)

A CGC certificate can open a lot of doors. Many landlords require it for renting with a dog, and many workplaces do the same for permission to bring your dog to work. Plus you get bragging rights and a very polite dog. We’ll get you and your dog ready to take the Canine Good Citizen test, which includes sitting to greet strangers, polite leash behavior with other dogs, out-of-sight stays, rock-solid recalls, and more. You can then graduate to take the Community Canine Test.

Tuition:

$370 for SIX 50-minute classes. Includes pre assessment and CGC test.

When & Where:

Sunday 12.00 to 12.50 PM (Location is emailed by Thursday of each week to the class attendees)

Four intermediate-level sessions build on your dog’s basic manners foundation to teach him to walk with you instead of dragging you about like an afterthought.

Tuition:

$330 for FOUR 50-minute classes

Join us for a class that’s fast-paced, effective, and fun!

I took several classes with D For Dog and loved all of them. I really enjoyed that many of the classes were held in different locations around town so your pup gets to practice the skills in the real world."

The one thing that sets Kaajal apart from other trainers is that she uses Positive reinforcement methods and is remarkably good at training humans in how they connect with their puppy as that sets the right foundation for a successful long term relationship with the pup.
