Meet Kaajal Tiwary (KT): Your Expert Dog Trainer & Guide
Kaajal Tiwary, known affectionately as “KT” by her clients, is a certified professional dog trainer celebrated for her rare blend of elite education, lived experience, and intuitive, compassionate insight. Her science-based, relationship-centered methods not only teach dogs essential life skills—they also foster deep, lasting companionship in the heart of your busy Silicon Valley lifestyle.
KT holds prestigious certifications including KPA-CTP, ABCDT, is a mentor trainer for Victoria Stilwell Academy, and brings over a decade and a half of hands-on experience to every session. She continuously deepens her knowledge in canine behavior, physiology, nutrition, and emotional wellness—delivering transformational results through practical, effective training solutions.
Known as part canine behavior specialist, part life coach, she brings both skill and heart to every session, helping you and your dog grow together in trust, balance, and harmony.
KT Specializes in Puppy Training & Complex Dog Behavior Solutions For Bay Area Family Dogs
She is especially passionate about puppy development, and is best known for transforming energetic, curious puppies into well-mannered adult companions through her highly sought-after Puppy Board & Train programs.
She also brings specialized expertise in working compassionately with fearful, anxious, or reactive dogs—those who see the world as overwhelming or unsafe and may respond with reactivity or aggression. KT’s calm, confidence-building approach helps these dogs feel secure, seen, and capable of thriving in the modern world.
KT also collaborates closely with veterinarians and veterinary behaviorists, creating a holistic training experience that honors both your dog’s physical health and emotional well-being. Her unwavering commitment to ongoing education—through workshops, conferences, and advanced seminars—means your family receives guidance that is evidence-based, compassionate, and always tailored to your unique needs.
Meet Diesel: Kaajal’s Heart Dog & the Inspiration Behind D For Dogz
Diesel came into Kaajal’s life at just five days old. As he grew, he struggled with fearfulness, leash reactivity, and sound sensitivity. Working with him through compassionate, science-based methods is what shaped Kaajal into the trainer she is today, helping Diesel become a calm, confident mentor who inspired countless puppies.
His journey led to Kaajal’s signature D.I.E.S.E.L Protocol, designed to help leash-reactive dogs build calm, confidence, and self-regulation. Diesel also sparked Kaajal’s passion for Nose Work, Canine Freestyle, Nutrition, and Dog Physiology, forming the holistic foundation of D For Dogz.
Though Diesel is no longer with us, his legacy continues through Diesel’s FootPrint, a non-profit supporting families with pets’ medical care and caregiver support.

What Our Clients Say
“I took several classes with D For Dogz and loved all of them. I really enjoyed that many of the classes were held in different locations around town so your pup gets to practice the skills in the real world.”
“The one thing that sets Kaajal apart from other trainers is that she uses Positive reinforcement methods and is remarkably good at training humans in how they connect with their puppy as that sets the right foundation.”
